This article deals with faith from Allameh Tabatabaei's Viewpoint. By a Quranic approach، Allameh considers faith as a matter of heart، a hopeful and trusting confidence in a holy issue that has some practical requisites. Although from his point of view practice is outside of the faith، there is an unbreakable link between faith and a pious practice. He believes that the object of religious faith is a real، actual and transcendental issue. Considering all the features of faith، he thinks that the highest degree of faith accompanies certainty and that، in all its degrees، reason has a key role. In this article at first an attempt is made to give a definition of faith، and then we study this concept from the viewpoint of Allameh Tabatabaei.

The late Allameh, within the scope of Quranic verses, has explained the word "iman" (faith), saying: Faith is derived from the root "amn" (security), and its primary meaning is to provide security; this is because a believer, in the light of their faith, can keep their beliefs safe from the harm of doubt and uncertainty (17, Vol: 1, p: 55).
He also considers the nature of faith to be a psychological and heartfelt matter and believes that until an internal revolution occurs in the human soul, no result will follow and the effects of faith will not manifest in a person's limbs and behavior (17, Vol: 2, p: 374 and Vol: 11, p: 354).
3 Parallel to this Islam, the second level of faith also appears, meaning certainty in God and matters connected to Him. The third stage of Islam is that after the believer is adorned with divine ethics, their other animalistic powers become submissive and aligned with divine rays.
He who was rational set out on the path; he who resolved on the path made the difficult easy (35, p: 2206) From Allameh's perspective, reason possesses the necessary validity and efficiency in the domain of recognizing religious and faith-based issues, and it paves the way for itself in such matters through innate inspirations.
