In addition to the formal education curricula and texts produced by the government, schools for followers of the Ahl al-Bayt school (peace be upon them) in Uganda also provide Islamic studies as extracurricular activities. These schools have been established and have been operating gradually over several decades. In the present research, this presence and activity is studied from a strategic perspective, with emphasis on the environment in which they are situated. The required information was collected through observation and interviews and was categorized within the framework of strategic literature using the thematic analysis method. The results of this research showed that these schools have been able to seize opportunities in their history, though they remain exposed to the vulnerability of quantitative threats. Furthermore, alongside their strengths, they have serious weaknesses that must be addressed; by resolving them, they can achieve their deserved share and position by utilizing existing opportunities.
