Today, the most important issue that has caught the minds of many political science theorists is the relationship between religion and politics. This issue becomes even more important when dealing with the issue of Islamic State. In today's world, we are confronted with many different interpretations of Islam, some with a tradition of widespread religious interference in politics, and some with a human experience of non-interference in politics. The divergence in this field from the Islamic theory of the state with the outbreak of the Islamic Revolution of Iran entered a new phase, in so far as it strengthened the possibility of the realization of a religious state in Muslim geography. Therefore, theorizing in the realm of the presence of religion in politics has entered a new stage, and from this perspective, the present study seeks to answer the question of what is the scope of shariah in politics? In response to the research question, the hypothesis is that the Islamic Shari'ah based on human need and the epistemological source of revelation, with the highest reading of Islam and in support of the divine theory of the state, has reached a new meaning in the name of political Islam,

com Abstract The aim of the present research is to examine the role of religion in politics based on the Divine State Theory.
Based on the research hypothesis, Islamic Sharia, grounded in human need and the epistemological source of revelation, through a maximalist reading of Islam and under the umbrella of the Divine State Theory, has reached a new concept called Political Islam, which is considered the evolved form of the Divine State Theory.
The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the results showed that by accepting the Divine State Theory and acknowledging the essence of God's legitimizing nature for the state, it can be emphasized that: the role of religion is not limited to ethics and individual and ritualistic rulings, but rather includes all aspects of human political, ritualistic, and social life.

Accordingly, what is being considered in the present research is the explanation and clarification of the role of religion in politics, by paying close attention to the theory of the divine state and consequently the realization of the maximalist reading of religion and its explanation under the shadow of a new concept called political Islam.
