Attention to the various aspects of the life of the Seal of the Prophets (peace be upon him and his family) has been a subject of special care for Muslim scholars. One of the authors who has looked at the personality of the Holy Messenger (peace be upon him and his family) in a unique way is Qadi Ayyad (467–544 AH). His famous work, titled Al-Shifa bi Ta'rif Huquq al-Mustafa, is composed in the style of Shamail al-Nabi and Dalail al-Nubuwwah books, holds special importance among Muslim scholars, and several commentaries and annotations have been written on it. In Al-Shifa, Qadi Ayyad has utilized Quranic verses revealed regarding the status and position of the Holy Prophet of Islam, as well as Prophetic Hadiths, to describe various aspects of the Prophet's personality, and has provided logical and firm responses to many fabricated accusations and legends regarding the Holy Messenger (peace be upon him and his family). In this writing, while examining the biography of Qadi Ayyad and mentioning his works, the focus has been placed on the book Al-Shifa.

6 Due to the scientific importance of the Qadi, al-Maqqari, in the eleventh century, authored a four-volume book titled Azhar al-Riyad fi Akhbar Iyad wa Yunasiha mimma yahsulu bihi lil-nafs irtiyah wa lil-aql irtiyah, regarding the biography and life of Qadi Iyad, in which he addressed the news of Iyad before his birth, his family, and his guardians; he also provided a detailed biography of his teachers in alphabetical order.
Sources of the book al-Shifa The most important source for Qadi Iyad in composing this work is the Holy Quran and some commentaries, such as Tafsir al-Qurtubi and Tafsir Ibn Kathir; after these two, he has benefited most from the Sunan of Ibn Majah, Dar Qutni, Abu Dawud, and the Sihah al-Sittah.
