چکیده:
One of the topics in Quranic sciences that has been attended to by scholars of this science is the subject of 'mujmal' (ambiguous) and 'mubayyin' (clarified) in the Holy Quran. Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti has a chapter titled 'Regarding its ambiguous and clarified aspects' in his book Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Quran, in which he enumerates the verses that he considers to be ambiguous and explains the various meanings attributed to those verses. He cites causes such as lexical ambiguity, omission, rarity, etc., for ambiguity and provides verses as examples. It appears that in the Tafsir al-Mizan, by examining the verses that Suyuti considered ambiguous, Allameh Tabataba'i has, in most cases, removed those verses from their ambiguous form through explanation and attention to context. However, in some verses that are considered ambiguous according to Suyuti's view, Allameh Tabataba'i has not expressed an explicit or specific opinion and has only addressed the various semantic aspects of the verse. This article has attempted, by examining the causes of ambiguity in the verses mentioned in Al-Itqan and also by addressing the narrations of the book Al-Durr al-Manthur fi al-Tafsir bi al-Ma'thur, to study Suyuti's perspective on the causes of ambiguity and, by referring to various books of Quranic sciences as well as Tafsir al-Mizan, to analyze and examine the ambiguity in those verses.
خلاصه ماشینی:
This research has endeavored to study Suyuti's views on the causes of ambiguity by examining the verses mentioned in Al-Itqan and also addressing the narrations of the book Al-Durr al-Manthur fi al-Tafsir bi al-Ma'thur, and by referring to various books of Quranic sciences as well as the views of Allameh Tabataba'i in Tafsir al-Mizan, to analyze and investigate the ambiguity of the verses.
By referring to the views of scholars of Quranic sciences, such as Allameh Tabataba'i and Professor Ma'refat, one can recognize the different aspects of the verse's meaning and investigate the occurrence or non-occurrence of ambiguity.
However, since Suyuti has presented this part of his discourse in the book Al-Itqan very concisely and has not provided a clear explanation of the factors of ambiguity as well as how Mubayyan verses affect the removal of ambiguity; and also considering that the subject of Mujmal and Mubayyan has not received much attention in the Quranic science sources of Shia scholars, although a section has been dedicated to it in the book Al-Itqan; therefore, criticizing and evaluating the thoughts of Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti becomes necessary.
These narrations also exist in large numbers in al-Itqan and Tafsir al-Durr al-Manthur, in most of which themes such as the prohibition of dealing with the ambiguous (as opposed to acting upon the decisive/muhkamat), acting upon what is understood from the Book and referring other matters to scholars, engaging in disputes, and dealing with those who have asked about the interpretation of the ambiguous verses of the Quran, etc.
4. There is no complete harmony between the interpretive narrations found in Tafsir al-Durr al-Manthur and also the book al-Itqan, to which the ambiguous verses are referred.
