Therefore, considering the importance of the subject, the author was motivated to answer this main question: within the framework of constructivist theories, what position do the foundations of Imam Khomeini's (RA) political jurisprudence hold in formulating Iran's international relations and foreign policy?
In response to this question, the hypothesis is formulated as follows: within the framework of constructivist theories, Imam Khomeini's (RA) political jurisprudence has played a very important and key role as an agent in formulating the identity foundations and redefining the international relations and foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, as the leader and great architect of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and as a jurist who possesses political views based on jurisprudential principles and rules, has provided views regarding international relations and foreign policy in general, and the foreign policy of the Islamic government in particular.
Since the Islamic Revolution, through the political revival of Islam, has emphasized the role and importance of non-state actors, including political-Islamic movements, and has challenged the material structures of the international system while simultaneously focusing its attention on values, norms, and constructs that are different and distinct from the ideologies of liberalism and socialism, we will utilize the constructivist theory to examine the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
