چکیده:
The main objective of the present research is to investigate the role of genetics in human upbringing and the inheritance of spiritual traits in Shiite hadith sources. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the results show that firstly, inheritance and the transmission of traits through genetics are not limited to physical and external traits; rather, spiritual and non-physical traits are also transmitted from parents and ancestors to children. Secondly, some ethical traits have been mentioned and emphasized in the narratives that are inherited from parents to children. These traits include foolishness, disloyalty, courage and fear, lust, generosity, jealousy, good manners, and dignity. Thirdly, various individuals' talents are also transmitted to children through inheritance. Therefore, these narratives actually serve as criteria for choosing a spouse with regard to the upbringing of future children. These narratives address the principle of the influence of genetics on the transmission of traits and characteristics mentioned but do not indicate the extent of genetic influence on the formation of a characteristic in human personality. Determining the extent of genetic influence in stabilizing spiritual traits and identifying the contribution of other factors such as the environment, education, etc., can provide a comprehensive map for the upbringing of individuals by educational mentors. Therefore, it is suggested that educational scientists, using systematic scientific experiments and experiences, investigate the role of inheritance and other factors in shaping various traits.

Genetics Genetics is the science whose goal is the scientific study of genes and heredity, and includes understanding how qualities or specific traits are transferred from parents to children through changes in the DNA sequence.
In another study, it has been emphasized that although the principle of inheritance and its function regarding humans is approved by religious leaders; however, the verses and narrations that are cited for the heredity of moral traits has been cited, do not indicate more than the innate inclination and the institutionalization of humans toward moral values and virtues and the aversion to moral abnormalities and vices; therefore, from a religious perspective, man is a being who is educable in all his moral qualities (Nazari Tavakoli, 1391).
