Regarding the life and works of Mirza Abdul Qadir Bedil Azimabadi (1133 AH / 1054 AH / 1643 AD / 1720 AD). As the greatest Persian-speaking poet of the subcontinent to date, several books and articles have been written in Pakistan. Bedil studies in Pakistan and India began in the twentieth century, and most research conducted on Bedil has been published by researchers and scholars of the subcontinent (Pakistan and India), Afghanistan, and Tajikistan. The research books and articles of Dr. Abdul Fani, a renowned Bedil scholar in Pakistan, have become a model and template for researchers in the field of Bedil studies; thus, Bedil studies have become widespread and have reached the special interest of Pakistani scholars. In this article, an attempt has been made to extensively write about the research conducted so far on Bedil—the famous and exciting poet—and to provide the details of all published works and articles and examine the status and position of this poet; therefore, the article is divided into several sections: introduction, independent books on the life and works of Bedil, translations of Bedil's works into the Urdu language, Urdu and Persian articles about Bedil (by Pakistani authors), theses about Bedil, manuscripts of Bedil's works in Pakistani libraries, and finally, a conclusion. A library and review method has been used for this article.

Therefore, an attempt has been made to include in this research, as far as possible, the works concerning Mirza Abdul Qadir Bedil from the beginning until now, which include books, collections of articles, prose and poetic translations of Bedil's poems, mentions of Bedil in books related to Ghalib and Iqbal published in Pakistan, theses, lists of Urdu and Persian articles, and manuscripts, so that a complete and detailed identification is provided for readers and Bedil enthusiasts.
After the research of Khwaja Abadullah, Dr. Abdul Ghani wrote an independent book on Bedil studies titled Life and Works of Abdul Qadir Bedil, and his numerous articles, numbering 26, are a precious and commendable legacy for introducing Bedil's personality and poetry.
