The research method is descriptive and of the content analysis type; in Persian textbooks for the upper secondary period, great attention has been paid to the category of martyr and martyrdom. The Islamic Revolution is the continuation of the path and way of Imam Hussain (AS), which is the same line of blood and martyrdom, and it can, along with its many commonalities with the Ashura revolution of Hussain, create grounds for research and investigation into Ashura poetry of this period in the form of very beautiful poetic and prose texts. Another aspect of martyrdom is addressing the subject of Karbala and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain and his loyal companions; during the Safavid era, Ashura poetry and the concept of martyrdom were accompanied by a more widespread flavor compared to previous periods. In the contemporary era as well, with the help of the talent of poets such as Sepideh Kashani, Alireza Ghazveh, Sepideh Kashani, Mousavi Garmaroudi, Tahereh Saffarzadeh, Seyed Hassan Hosseini, Salman Herati, Hamid Sabzevari, and Gheysar Aminpour, revolutionary and Holy Defense poetry enjoyed greater prosperity and expansion and became central to the poets' thoughts. The resistance, steadfastness, and perseverance of the Palestinian people, given the oppression of their uprising since its formation, has been a primary theme for many poets, and many influential works have been created in this field.
