Many of the old customs and traditions have become obsolete and faded or forgotten due to the change in lifestyle today. One of these cases is the old jobs that no one pays attention to nowadays due to the change of times and the advancement of technology. Professions that existed in the not-so-distant past and are now either gone or there is no trace of them. These jobs have been out of the cycle of work and activity for several years, and new and strange professions have spread in their place. Examining and describing the history of the past is the subject of many cultural studies. One of the accurate tools of understanding human civilization is culture; And since many elements of popular culture such as: customs, beliefs and beliefs, food and clothing, games, entertainment and other popular things are reflected in Persian literature, an effort has been made to examine a number of occupations and customs of Let's pay for its loss with the people of Saadi's time. Among the sources that depict some parts of the life of the people of the society and their conditions are Saadi's works, which have left a great and deep impact on Persian speakers. The results show that Saadi has widely used elements of folk culture in his speech in Bostan. The Sheikh's many references to people's lifestyles and occupations have provided a favorable environment for the inclusion of public culture in his works, which is actually a part of the identity of the Iranian nation. In this article, citing evidence from the works of Saadi and his contemporaries, some of the prosperous old jobs and professions are mentioned, which are obsolete today and have no place in the professions market.

One of the precise tools for recognizing human civilization is culture; and since many elements of folk culture such as: customs, beliefs and convictions, food and clothing, games, entertainment, and other other popular items are reflected in Persian literature, an effort has been made to examine a number of its lost occupations and customs among the people of Saadi's era.
In addition to common and active occupations that have still maintained their survival, many varieties of these old arts and professions, such as Boria-bafi (mat weaving), exist in many cities and villages of Iran, which are either on the verge of extinction or are practiced by a small number of old masters; and occupations like Saqqayi (water carrying) that no longer have a place in society have been completely forgotten, or tasks such as Maqamari (gambling) which have become obsolete and outcast due to social conditions.
