Background and Aim: One of the interventions that can play an important role in improving academic self-regulation and intellectual rumination is Admission and Commitment-Based Education (ACT). The approach of acceptance and commitment is the third wave of behavioral therapy. In general, the third wave of treatments is called admission-based therapies or treatments based on acceptance and mindfulness, which includes a range of approaches. The present study aims to investigate the effect of admission-based training. And the commitment (ACT) was made to the academic self-regulation and student rumination. Research Method: The present study is a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental) study conducted with pre-test, post-test and follow-up with the control group. The research population included all female students of 16 to 18 public schools in Bushehr in the academic year of 1397-98, who had the conditions to enter the study. . Results and findings of the study: The results showed that acceptance and commitment-based education (ACT) has been effective in increasing academic self-regulation as well as reducing students' intellectual rumination. According to the findings, considering the usefulness of acceptance and commitment-based education (ACT) on improving academic self-regulation as well as intellectual rumination and considering the short duration of this intervention, it seems that using this method on a wide range of behavioral problems And cognitive benefit.

Other findings of the research showed that there is a significant difference between the level of rumination scores after the implementation of the research in the control and experimental groups in the post-test and follow-up stages; in other words, the Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) intervention had an effect on reducing the level of student rumination.
