چکیده:
The Paris Agreement to prevent environmental destruction was signed by participating countries at the 21st United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris. This agreement was formed by some countries of the world to support the environment, and its long-term goal is that the Earth's temperature increases by 1.5 degrees Celsius instead of two degrees by the end of the century. Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced the withdrawal of the United States from the Paris climate pact. He made this promise during his election campaigns, stating that the Paris treaty is not in the interest of the United States. At the same time, Trump announced that he is pursuing a new climate deal in a way that ensures US interests are met while other countries also benefit. Using a descriptive-analytical method and the theory of the critical school regarding the environment, this article seeks to answer the question: What impact does the US withdrawal from the Paris Agreement have on the international environmental regime? The article's hypothesis is that the US withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, by provoking other members to withdraw, increasing environmental destruction, and reducing commitment to implementing the Paris Agreement, will lead to the weakening of the international environmental regime and the intensification of the climate change process.

Although China said in its initial reaction that despite the United States' withdrawal from this treaty, it, along with the European Union, India, and Canada, will remain committed to its obligations, this country, which had entered climate change treaties with difficulty and under pressure from the United States, Europe, and civil institutions, if it wants, has now found the necessary pretext to withdraw from this treaty; and if such an event occurs, one of the new international regimes that since the 1990s attempted to organize the world order 149 based on controlling the consequences of neoliberal capitalism, will fail with the withdrawal of the two largest greenhouse gas producing countries.
