چکیده:
Continuity and progress in various dimensions of people's lives in the country, especially the health system, require attention to academic research, which is an important tool for identifying and solving educational, research, and health problems. Therefore, this research aims to determine the deterrent barriers to conducting research from the perspective of professors at medical science universities and to provide a comprehensive model in this field. In terms of nature and purpose, this research is applied, and in terms of research method, it is descriptive-analytical, with information collected through the review of books, articles, and valid theses. In this writing, while stating the importance and necessity of research, the most important barriers affecting the performance of research work from the perspective of professors in Iranian medical science universities are mentioned, and all factors and barriers have been organized. Generally, the barriers can be divided into twelve categories: economic-financial, facilities-equipment, quality assessment, professional research capabilities, human relations and attitudes, occupational, structural-managerial, laws, communication-information, cultural-social, administrative-executive, and scientific-educational.

Research Method The objective is to investigate the deterrent obstacles to conducting research from the perspective of medical university professors and to provide a comprehensive and effective model in this regard.
