Abu al-Abbas, Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Sa'id ibn Aqda, is one of the great Zaydi hadith scholars, biographical experts, and scientists of the third and fourth Hijri centuries, who has written more than 30 book titles in various fields of Islamic sciences. Most of his works have not reached us; although the content of some of them has been made available to us through the books of contemporary and later scholars in hadith books. Abu al-Faraj al-Isfahani, given his Zaydi background, is among those who have conveyed part of Ibn Aqda's scientific heritage to us. In this article, an attempt has been made to examine the remaining historical narrations of Ibn Aqda in Abu al-Faraj al-Isfahani's book Maqatil al-Talibiyyin and to identify the sources of his narrations.

[4] Furthermore, many of those counted among his teachers, whom he has quoted many times, were all great narrators of Kufa; among them, Muhammad ibn Abd Allah al-Hadrami, Muhammad Qatat, Ali ibn Abbas al-Maqani'i, and Husayn ibn Abi al-Ahwas, who are mostly famous for narrating hadith.
Thus, 84 historical historical reports of Ibn 'Uqdah narrated from Yahya al-Nassabah, could have been part of his lost book, Nasab Al Abi Talib.
Conclusion The book Maqatil al-Talibiyyin, by Abu al-Faraj al-Isfahani, is one of the most important Shia sources regarding the history of Banu Hashim from the beginning of Islam until the time of the author.
Ibn 'Uqdah also narrated these traditions from the book "Nasab Al Abi Talib" written by Yahya al-Nassabah, which unfortunately has not reached us.
Therefore, Ibn 'Uqdah's narrations in the book Maqatil al-Talibiyyin can reconstruct part of the lost Shia heritage.
