چکیده:
Meta-theory is one of the newest developments in theorizing. While theorists treat the social world as their object of study, meta-theorists study the systematic structure of theory itself. In social science literature, meta-theorizing has emerged under various titles such as meta-sociology, reflexive sociology, and the sociology of sociology. Although this model has expanded within the sociological field, it can also be applied to other research areas. Meta-theory serves as a tool for achieving a deeper understanding of theory, and its goal is to explain and critique the meta-theoretical assumptions that form the foundation of theories, as well as to formulate principles for evaluating theories. Many theorists have emphasized the necessity of advancing and developing social theory. Since meta-theorizing is an effective step in enriching theories, more attention should be paid to this field. The main objective of this article is to present the fundamental parameters of this approach. This article first addresses the growth contexts of meta-theoretical studies and the nature of meta-theory, and then discusses the types of meta-theory and meta-theoretical analysis techniques, with an emphasis on Ritzer's meta-theoretical approach.

(Guralink & Neufeld, 1994: 851) Within the framework of terminology1, based on the perspective of the main thinkers in this field such as George Ritzer, meta-theory is the systematic study of the fundamental structure of a social theory.
) Aside from the fact that meta-theorists are used in other fields of study, what distinguishes them from Ritzer's meta-theoretical model is not the final result of the research, but the process of this approach, in which all meta-theorists exist within this common framework.
It also emphasizes the study of the theorists themselves, who [integrate] their institutional continuities, professional patterns, and their positions (status) 1- Meta theorizing as a prelude to theory development 2- Meta theorizing as a Source of Overarching theoretical perspectives 3- internal- social 200 are investigated in the field of research.

(Ritzer, 1991: 237-248) In other words, meta-theory requires a comparative method for deeper understanding, for better evaluation, and for critical analysis of theory and theorizing.
- As a theoretical research, meta-theory provides a precise model for understanding the works and effects of theorists and the structure of intellectual, social, internal, and external factors that influence their theorizing.
