چکیده:
The tripartite concepts of dignity, wisdom, and expediency form a binding triangle for the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The theoretical framework of this research is based on the intellectual system of the Supreme Leader (may his shadow endure). The expressed interpretations have the capacity to transform into a macro framework and subsequently into a strategic program, so that diplomacy always moves around it across all governments. The aim of the research is to explain foreign policy from the perspective of Imam Khamenei (may his shadow endure) based on the three principles of dignity, wisdom, and expediency, and its impact on the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This article was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method with a quantitative approach and the Delphi technique. The research results indicate that failure to achieve goals in foreign policy does not necessarily mean a compromise of the dignity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In the view of Western countries, especially the United States, Iran is not an invincible country. Wise behavior does not necessarily mean pursuing a policy at all times and places. What is of primary importance is the preservation of the system. If at some time the principle and existence of the system are in danger, and continuing hostility against the United States endangers the existence of the system, this hostility can be temporarily abandoned. Continuing to support Hezbollah and Hamas, given their confrontational approach toward the Zionist regime, is in the interest (expediency) of the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

A conceptual explanation of the interpretations of dignity, wisdom, and expediency, with recourse to the intellectual system of the Supreme Leader (May his shadow be prolonged), while clarifying their meanings and reducing dispersion and conflicting interpretations among thinkers and politicians, can serve as an accurate basis and justification for action in the field of foreign policy and for achieving national interests.
Conceptual clarification of the expressions Dignity, Wisdom, and Expediency, by seeking help from the framework of the thought of the Imams of the Islamic Revolution, while clarifying their meanings and reducing dispersion and differences in interpretation among thinkers and politicians, can serve as an accurate basis and justification for action in the field of foreign policy to achieve national security.
