چکیده:
The aim of this research was to investigate (the relationship between cultural intelligence and social skills of tenth-grade students in Salam Boys' Schools in Tehran city). In terms of purpose, this research is applied, and in terms of method, it is descriptive-correlational. The statistical population studied in this research consists of all tenth-grade students in Salam Boys' Schools in Tehran city, which includes 10 high schools in the second period of secondary education. The total number of students at the time of the research was 661. Using the simple random cluster method, 243 people were selected as the research sample based on Morgan's table. The data collection tools were the cultural intelligence questionnaires by Ang et al. (2004) and the Teenager Social Skills Scale (TISS) by Endebitzen and Foster (1992), which were distributed among the students and then collected. Hypotheses were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods (range, minimum, maximum, mean, standard deviation, variance, skewness, and kurtosis) and inferential methods (Pearson correlation coefficient, simple regression, and stepwise regression). Based on the data analysis, the research findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between cultural intelligence in general and its two dimensions (metacognitive and motivational dimensions) with social skills, and the metacognitive dimension had the greatest contribution in predicting social skills.
