چکیده:
In Islamic and Quranic culture, affliction (trial) is one of the divine traditions that began from the very beginning of human creation in the paradise that God created for the first individual of our kind. God tested Adam (AS) and Eve (SA) by forbidding them from the forbidden tree, and although they were not successful in this first test, this tradition has continued and will continue until the Day of Judgment. In this writing, we attempt to examine the tradition of affliction from various aspects.

» 1 Thus, it can be understood why Allah, the All-Knowing and All-Wise, tests His righteous servants with various calamities; because suffering humans possess more endurance and capacity for tolerance than pampered individuals.
-- Ibtila and Divine Proximity: The life full of suffering and hardship of the prophets and the divine saints expresses the truth that until a human being is placed in the crucible of testing and faces calamities, they will not become worthy of the station of Khalifatullah (the vicegerent of God).
" * Universality: According to these verses, we realize that testing is not limited to a specific group or certain individuals; for example, it is not only for the group of Muslims; rather, it is a general law and an eternal tradition; in other words, just as all past nations and all prophets, divine messengers, and their peoples have been tested, all modern humans are also tested.
1 hardship and affliction for wrongdoers is discipline, for the believer it is a test, for the divine prophets it is a means to attain a higher rank, and for the saints and friends of God, it is a means of honor and sovereignty.
» If God had not taken the test of Ashura from the companions of the Imam and the people of Kufa, many of the Kufans would have considered themselves true Shiites of the Commander of the Faithful; just as those who joined Imam Hussain( or separated from him on the way were also well tested.
