چکیده:
Opponents of the divine legitimacy of the Imamate and religious leadership, along with other arguments, have cited some Qur'anic arguments, which can be analyzed and examined in three main reasons with different explanations; Imamate as one of the public rights (haqqunnaas) is one of the reasons for this view, which is documented in the following four Qur'anic themes: judicial and legal speeches to the general public, the standing of the people in justice as a philosophy of mission and prophecy, the separation of divine prophecy from the rule of the people and the mission of the prophets. The second reason for this view is to legitimize the opinion of the people in the Qur'an, which is based on four categories of verses, including verses of consultation and advice (shoora), verses of allegiance, verses documenting the authority of consensus, and verses of obedience to the leaders (ulu’l amr). The third reason for this view is the orthographic difference between the Qur'anic concept of "rule" and its customary political meaning. Analysis and study of these evidences by the method of inference and recitation of the Qur'an would show their incompleteness in proving the claimed results.

Among the Sunnis are authors such as: Mohammad Rashid Rida in the book "Al-Khilafah aw al-Imamah al-Uzma" and also Muhammad Imarah in "Ma'rakat al-Islam wa Usul al-Hukm"; and among the Shiites are authors such as: Sayyid Kazim Husayni Ha'iri in the book "Bonyan-e Hokumat dar Islam" (The Foundation of Government in Islam) and the article "Hikmat va Hokumat dar Tarazu-ye Naqd" (Wisdom and Government in the Balance of Critique); Mohsen Araki in the theory "Al-Nass 'ala al-Imamah fi al-Qur'an al-Karim"; and Mohammad Hassan Qadrdan Qaramalaki in the book "Quran va Sekularism dar Naqd-e Andisheh-haye Nevisandegan-e Sekular-e Moaser" (The Quran and Secularism in Critique of the Thoughts of Contemporary Secular Authors) such as Ali Abdel Razzaq », Mahdi Ha'iri in the book "Hikmat va Hokumat" (Wisdom and Government), and Mahdi Bazargan in the book "Akharat va Khoda: Hadaf-e Ba'th-e Anbiya" (The Hereafter and God: The Goal of the Prophets' Mission), have written works; however, it seems that the Quranic dimensions of the subject are more prominent for investigation from various perspectives; previous works have been less focused on Quranic arguments and have a predominantly theological and general approach.
