Religion is a program for the happiness and salvation of humanity, and religiosity is the institutionalization of religious teachings and values in all dimensions of life, which has many fruits for the individual and society. Factors, both manifest and hidden, threaten religiosity, one of which is irreligion. Of course, no one can completely sever ties with religion, because religiosity is an innate matter. Irreligion, meaning the dimming of faith and the fading of the lamp of religion in people's lives, does not belong to any specific religion; rather, it affects all religions and schools of thought and has various causes. In this research, misconceptions about religion, unconscious and blind imitation, the behavior of those dependent on religion, ignorance and lack of knowledge, evasion of responsibility, bad friends, long-term desires and vanity, prejudice, stubbornness, and poverty are explained as the causes and roots of irreligion.

In this research, misconceptions about religion, unconscious and blind imitation, the behavior of relatives of the religious, ignorance and lack of knowledge, evasion of responsibility, bad friends, long-term desires and vanity, prejudice, stubbornness, and poverty are identified as the causes and roots of irreligion.
This phenomenon, which leads to the creation of material tendencies and anti-religious or irreligious ideologies, 50 has a long history spanning the entire lifespan of religion; just as the Jews, after believing in God, during the absence of their prophet Moses, turned to calf worship and turned away from true faith (Taha: 85-88).
In this article, which has been conducted using the library method, first the meaning of irreligion and the necessity of preserving religion is explained, and then the factors that cause irreligion are investigated from two dimensions, individual and social, such as misconceptions about religion, unconscious and blind imitation, ignorance and lack of knowledge, bad friends, and long-term desires.
