The purpose of this study was to compare selected flow state experience (peak performance) in elite and non-elite Iranian athletic. This study examined relationships between peak performance, and flow state. The elite sample included 55 and non- elite 50 females and males (with 23.5 in average) athletic. They were interviewed and questioned, Flow State Scale-2-Chen, Hung (DFS_2) was used for data collection. The t-test revealed a significant difference between elite and non-elite athletic in 4 factor, and totale flow state, and five others. Some results indicate to there can be a state of flow on the athletic. However, elite athletic were better than non- elite athletic in all catagorys. For this reason, it is important to conduct more research aimed at identifying similarities and differences in the dimensions of flow among athletes in different sporting branches with opposing functional characteristics (individual, group, contact, non-contact).
The results show that there is overlap in five dimensions frequently mentioned by the athletes (hidden inner intention and determination (9), challenge-skill balance (1), clear goals (3), sense of control (6); focus on task (5); this report is consistent with our results in four cases), and the other three were less mentioned (transformation of time (8); merging of action and awareness (2), loss of self-consciousness (7) are consistent with the findings of this research in all three cases; Oliver, Gomez and Miranda (2015).
o By comparing the results obtained from the last three studies, the general importance of the dimensions of "focus on task" at hand, "sense of control," and "merging of action and awareness" is supported across all sports disciplines that lead to the athletes' flow experience, was supported.
