Writing in connection with literary history has undergone transformation over time. These changes have led to a diversity of literary history books as well as a variety of interpretations presented regarding these books. The aim of this research is to analyze and examine the book 'A Critical Review of the History of Literary Writing in Arabic Literature' and compare this work with similar books. The reason for writing Mr. Seyedi's book is to pose questions and critique the history of literary writing in the field of Arabic language and literature; however, it seems that the author has focused on expressing generalities, concepts, and definitions of literature, presenting theories of literary history, describing the course of the history of literary writing, methods of literary historiography, and the influence of Orientalists in this field. The pattern of the book's content bears a strong resemblance to books such as 'Fi Tarikh al-Adab: Mafahim wa Manahij' by Hussein al-Wad, 'Falsafat al-Istishraq wa Atharuha fi al-Adab al-Arabi al-Mu'asir' by Ahmed Ismail Luwayj, and 'Manahij al-Dirasa al-Adabiyya fi al-Adab al-Arabi' by Faisal Shukri. The results of this research show that the Arabic books authored are more mature compared to Mr. Seyedi's book, and Mr. Seyedi's work is more of a transfer of points mentioned in the books of the three aforementioned authors. The research method in this article is based on the descriptive-analytical and library method, and then through the method of matching and comparison, the work has been compared to the aforementioned similar works.

Naturally, authors such as Faisal Shukri, Hussein al-Wad, and Seyed Hossein Seyyedi have addressed the examination and explanation of the contents of Arabic literary history books, presenting information regarding writing styles, the course of transformations, and factors affecting these changes.
