چکیده:
The Little Black Fish is one of the books that holds a special place in the history of children's and young adult literature; the metaphorical and revolutionary meaning of this book has been of interest to critics from the very beginning. However, Reza Rahgozar considers this book to be lacking in metaphorical meaning; based on the blackness of the fish, he considers this color to be devoid of revolutionary meaning. In this article, using some hermeneutic approaches, we have pursued the meaning of the color black. To this end, we have explored the meaning of the color black in an image of a narrative system and three other articles. Furthermore, we have shown that the liberating anti-colonial revolutions, especially in Africa, which were occurring at that time, were of interest to the freedom seekers of our country. Using these instances, we have been able to show that before the Islamic Revolution of the year fifty-seven, the color black evoked the meaning of revolution and resistance against colonialism and tyranny for some. Therefore, the use of the color black in this story possesses its own metaphorical meaning.

Undoubtedly, Behrangi's technical knowledge of the principles of storytelling, especially symbolic stories, cannot be measured with modern knowledge and flaws can be found in those writings; however, regarding the understanding of the meaning of the writing, Sershar refers to the black color of the little fish and considers it a semantic sign indicating that black lacks revolutionary meaning and if Behrangi had a revolutionary and symbolic meaning in mind, he should have used the color red (see.
