چکیده:
Social security is one of the most important basic needs of mankind and is considered the first necessary condition for progress and achieving development for civilized societies. Various studies have shown that awareness of citizenship rights is one of the factors affecting social security. Accordingly, the main objective of the present research is to study the role of citizenship rights in the social security of citizens. This research was conducted as a survey using a researcher-made questionnaire with a sample size of 400 people among citizens aged 15-65 in the metropolis of Tehran in the year 1398 (2019/2020). The sampling method is multi-stage cluster sampling. The research findings indicate that there is a significant direct relationship between citizenship rights and its dimensions (civil rights, political rights, social rights) and social security. Additionally, the results of the regression model indicate that 27 percent of the changes or variance in social security can be explained by the three variables of civil rights, political rights, and social rights. Furthermore, the strongest predictors of the social security variable are, respectively, the variables of political rights, social rights, and civil rights.

Studying the relationship between citizenship rights and social security (Case study: Citizens of Tehran city) Hojjatollah Ebrahimian, 1- Tavakkol Lotfi 2 Abstract Social security is one of the most important basic needs of humans and is considered the first necessary condition for progress and achieving development for civilized societies.
On the other hand, the level of individuals' awareness of their rights and obligations and the ways they are activated in society plays an effective role in the degree of citizenship realization and the promotion of their participation; therefore, in order for citizenship rights to be effective, citizens must know their rights so that they can employ them towards the realization of order and social security in society (Hakimi and Rezaeipour, 2015).
Addressing the subject of citizenship rights and its relationship with social security is important in that it studies different aspects of citizenship rights and strives to identify the role of the security factor in the practical realization of citizens' rights in society for the general public, statesmen, and decision-makers.
Based on this, the goal of the present research is to study the relationship between citizenship rights and social security among the citizens of Tehran.
Nevertheless, the common axis in all definitions is the emphasis on citizenship rights and duties, participation, equality of citizens, citizenship identity, and the role and status of citizens regardless of social, class, ethnic, racial, and religious affiliations of society, which is referred to in some theories: Marshall argues that citizenship is a status given to all individuals who are full members of society.
