The aim of this research was to identify and rank the dimensions of knowledge commercialization in Islamic Azad University. The present research was descriptive of the survey type. The research population consisted of all faculty members of Islamic Azad Universities in Mazandaran province (1537 people). The sample size was calculated based on Cochran's formula as 308 people, who were selected using a stratified random sampling method. For data collection, a researcher-made knowledge commercialization questionnaire with 84 items was used. Face, content, and convergent validity of the tool were confirmed, and reliability based on Cronbach's alpha coefficients was above 0.7. Data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis. The findings showed that knowledge commercialization includes five dimensions: individual, environmental, contextual, structural, and content. The individual dimension includes seven components: individual control, individual mindset, individual personality, self-efficacy, interpersonal, individual creativity, and individual power-seeking; the environmental dimension includes five components: supporting institutions, social support, legal factors, economic factors, and market potential; the contextual dimension includes three components: culture and shared values, goals and strategy; the structural dimension includes four components: organization, planning, resources, and supervision; and the content dimension includes three components: work processes, relationships, and technology. In this research, the structural dimension ranked first with a factor loading of 0.893, and the content dimension ranked fifth with a factor loading of 0.615.
