چکیده:
With the empowerment of Kartir in the Sasanian imperial court, changes occurred in the political and religious systems, the outcome of which was: the unity and integrity of Iran's political geography, support and protection of the country's geopolitical position, and the systematic propagation and promotion of religious-political thought throughout the Iranian Empire during the Sasanian era. In this research, information was collected through library methods from historical, archaeological, and political science sources and analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method based on Gramsci and Gauntlett's theories. It seeks to answer questions such as: What factors created the contexts for Kartir to disseminate his political thought? What symbols did Kartir use in publishing his political thought? And which social class or court group did his political thought serve? The results show that from the beginning of the establishment of the Sasanian Empire, the necessity of theorizing ideology for the political system was raised; Ardashir I provided a temporary ideology with epic themes, and Shapur I provided one with tolerant political thought. However, with the dominance of the aristocracy, they shaped a nationalist ideology based on Zoroastrian teachings, national and folk stories, and the practice of endogamy to achieve legitimacy in Iran's political geography and shape national identity in international relations, thereby gaining the necessary sphere of influence, and they established fire temples in different regions to define their territory and borders. Kartir was the executor of this ideology, and the nobility, many of whom were priests, were the real administrators of the country until the period of Qubad and Khosrow Anushirvan.

The results of our investigations show that from the beginning of the establishment of the Sasanian Empire, the necessity of theorizing a type of ideology for the political system was raised; in such a way that Ardashir I with epic themes and Shapur I with a tolerant political thought provided a temporary ideology, but the aristocracy, after coming to power, in order to gain legitimacy in the political geography of Iran and to shape a national identity in the arena of international relations, formed a nationalist ideology based on the teachings of Zoroaster, national and folk stories, and the practice of endogamy (marriage within the family) to obtain the necessary sphere of influence.
