(For example, see: Nur: 32; Nahl: 72; Baqarah: 222; Hurr Amili, 1409 AH, 20: 307; Muhaddith Nuri, 1408 AH, 14: 149) For instance, in the verses, Almighty God, in encouraging marriage, has guaranteed that marriage is a cause for the removal of financial poverty: «وَ أَنْكِحُوا الْأَیامى مِنْكُمْ وَ الصَّالِحِینَ مِنْ عِبادِكُمْ وَ إِمائِكُمْ إِنْ یكُونُوا فُقَراءَ یغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَ اللَّهُ واسِعٌ عَلِیمٌ (نور: 32)؛ marry off your unmarried men and your righteous men among your male slaves and female slaves.
(Tabataba'i, 1417 AH, 3: 137) For this reason, the Messenger of God (PBUH) always considers marriage a cause of rizq and says: «الرِّزْقُ مَعَ النِّسَاءِ وَ الْعِیالِ»; human rizq and provision are contingent upon the existence of a wife and children.
The first step in encouraging young people toward marriage is to use the institution of the family as a suitable center for strengthening the sense of responsibility.
Solution (1): Explaining and Promoting the Concept of Modesty (Haya) One of the attributes of a believing man and woman is modesty (Haya), as stated in the description of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) (Majlisi, 1404 AH, 30: 364) and Imam Ali (AS) (ibid.
The explanatory solution for each of these four obstacles consists, respectively, of: explaining the Quranic perspective on sustenance (rizq), instilling the skill of responsibility within the family, explaining the concept of modesty (haya) and also the impact of today's actions on the future of the individual and society, and eradicating superstition through scholarly enlightenment.
