The duality of surrender or resistance is a path facing countries when confronting dominant governments, where each choice carries specific effects and consequences. Therefore, an accurate understanding of the effects and consequences of compromise and standing firm plays a significant role in choosing one of these two paths. In this regard, the view that the consequences and costs of surrender are greater than those of resistance is one of the perspectives raised in this discussion, which has so far been less analyzed. Therefore, this article intends to examine this perspective from the viewpoint of the Quran and by analyzing contemporary history using the deductive method. Among the findings of this article is that in the Holy Quran, on one hand, compromise and surrender to disbelievers and enemies are prohibited due to consequences such as the dominance of disbelievers and enemies over Muslims; and on the other hand, standing firm and resistance are emphasized due to effects such as victory over enemies and disbelievers and the attainment of prosperity and development. Historical evidence also, in line with the Holy Quran, indicates that the cost and consequence of compromising with dominant countries like the USA is greater than resistance and standing firm against it.

In Tafsir Nemuneh, regarding verse 48 of Surah Al-Ahzab, it is stated: Undoubtedly, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) never obeyed the disbelievers and hypocrites, but the importance of the subject is such that it emphasizes this matter specifically as an emphasis for the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) himself and as a warning and lesson for others, especially since from the important dangers that lie in the path of true leaders, compromise and surrender pulling away during the journey, which is sometimes provided through threats and sometimes through granting concessions, to the point where a person sometimes falls into error and thinks that the way to reach the goal is to yield to such compromise and surrender, which is the same compromise and surrender whose result is the futility of all efforts and endeavors and the neutralization of all struggles.
But regarding the peace of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), it is said that the main goal and, to use more precise terms, the reference for security in the religion of Islam is the preservation of the religion itself, and this is usually achieved, based on the verses of the Holy Quran, through resistance and non-compromise.
(19/2/1397) <H1>Conclusion</H1> In this article, in order to explain the viewpoint of Imam Khamenei (may his shadow be prolonged) regarding the fact that the costs of compromise and surrender to dominating powers are greater than standing firm and resisting them, the following results were obtained: ـ From the perspective of the Holy Quran, compromise and surrender to enemies and disbelievers is forbidden.
