چکیده:
The aim of the present research is to investigate the relationship between the lifestyle of martyr and veteran families and similar normal families in terms of social status in the city of Ahvaz. Lifestyle is one of the concepts similar to lifestyle that is identified through values and consumption patterns. The method of this research is of the descriptive-correlational study type. The statistical population in this research consists of 24,794 families, including 12,397 martyr and veteran families and 12,397 normal families. Sampling was done using the stratified probability sampling method. Based on the Cochran formula, the sample size is 387 persons (families). A written questionnaire was used to collect data. To analyze the research data, Pearson correlation and regression analysis were used. Findings: After investigation, it was determined that socio-economic status, body management, religious participation, and cultural capital have the greatest roles in lifestyle, respectively. Conclusion: The lifestyle of martyr and veteran families does not have a significant difference in terms of social status compared to the lifestyle of normal families.

Gordon5 (1963) enumerates several important factors in the study of lifestyle: consumption patterns, type of clothing, manner of speaking, attitudes, and patterns related to focal points of interest in culture such as sexual matters, rationality, religion, family, patriotism, education, arts, and sports.
The lifestyle under consideration, from the researcher's perspective, is any distinct and identifiable way of living that is specified by the dimensions of leisure time, kitchen utensils, service and bathroom equipment, other building facilities, and the type and extent of social relationships are specified, and the term component refers to matters that are considered objective manifestations of lifestyle.
Social status, from the researcher's perspective, includes socio-economic position, religious participation, cultural capital, and body management, which are considered the most important components affecting lifestyle.
The variables of this research include socio-economic status, cultural capital, body management, and religious participation, the impact of which on lifestyle has been evaluated.
Findings The purpose of the present research is to examine the relationship between the lifestyle of martyr families and similar normal families in terms of social status in the city of Ahvaz.

The results of the study are consistent with the research results of Fardro and Sedaghatzadegan (2010) based on the relationship between socio-economic status and lifestyle.
