چکیده:
The present research has been compiled with the aim of investigating and analyzing the spatial-location of neighborhoods in District 4 of Mashhad (case study: Tollab, Vahid, and Radeh neighborhoods). The statistical population of this research is the number of households residing in District 4, which according to the 2011 census is equal to 69,079 households. In this regard, by utilizing the Geographic Information System (GIS) software ARC GIS, spatial representation and data analysis have been performed. It can be concluded from the findings of this research that the socio-economic and topographical gradient in District 4 is drawn from the southern side of the district toward the edge of the city. The presence of bad water and sewage in urban gutters at the regional level, especially in District 3, is one of the major citizenship concerns. High density of residential units, fragmentation, impermeability, lack of stability, lack of open space, and the necessity of crisis management are felt in the neighborhoods of District 3. The per capita green space in the region is 3 square meters. District 3 of the region has the least accessibility and is drawn from the southern side of the district toward the edge of the city. This figure for each individual in the district is 1.1 square meters. In the classification of neighborhoods from the perspective of sustainability components, Tollab, Vahid, and Radeh were identified in order. The weakness of the Radeh neighborhood in some components, especially physical and economic components, is among the indicators of this neighborhood.
