چکیده:
The aim of the present research was to determine the extent of the impact of visual memory on the development of geometric thinking with the mediating role of the scientific epistemology of geometry. Confirmatory factor analysis of the scientific epistemology of geometry scale was performed through structural equation modeling, and mediation analysis was also conducted through two limited and complete regression equations to determine its indirect and significant effect via Sobel test and GEE. The research method was correlational, and the statistical population included all undergraduate student-teachers of primary education at Farhangian University of Isfahan. There were 550 participants who were selected using a voluntary sampling method and responded to a questionnaire designed based on the conceptual model of the research. This questionnaire included Van Hiele's standard tests of geometric thinking levels, types of McRae's visual memories, including systems, classes, and units, and a researcher-made test of the scientific epistemology of geometry. From the results, one can mention the indirect effect of visual memory on the development of geometric thinking and the direct effect of scientific epistemology of geometry on the development of geometric thinking.

Therefore, the present research intends to present a conceptual model titled "The effect of the role of memory - National Council of Teachers of Mathematics - Jones - Burger & Shaughnessy - Crowley - Fuys, Geddes, & Tischler - Gutierrez, Jaime, & Fortuny - Baynes - Keiser - Prescott et al - Thirumurthy - Ubuz & Ustun - Halat - Van Hiele visual 1 with the growth of geometric thinking of pre-service teachers through the mediation of the epistemology of scientific geometry" to provide guidance and insight for the development of geometric thinking.
Therefore, the model can be completed as follows: In general, considering the theoretical foundations, the present research was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between visual memory (system and levels) and the development of geometric thinking in pre-service teachers through the scientific epistemology of geometry.
Research Tools In the present research, four levels of variables exist, namely criterion, predictor, control, and mediator variables: - Baron & Kenny - Mackinon - Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) - Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) - Generalized Estimating Equation (GEE) - Lam exist, which are: 1- Criterion variable - Geometric thinking level test: To measure geometric thinking levels, the standard Van Hiele test, designed with the help of the Usiskin 1 scale (1980), was used, which Moradi Veis (2009) confirmed the validity of using the opinions of mathematics education experts and professors, and a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.
