چکیده:
The aim of the present research is to examine the factor structure of the Seattle Children's Personality Questionnaire using the confirmatory factor analysis approach. In this study, a portion of the data from Ghasemi (3131) was used, which includes 222 male students and 342 female students from elementary schools in Delijan County, selected through a multi-stage stratified random sampling method. To estimate parameters and model fit, the weighted least squares function was used. To evaluate the adequacy of the model fit, the root mean square error of approximation index, the comparative fit index, the root mean square error of the standardized residual, the Tucker-Lewis index, the goodness-of-fit index, and the adjusted goodness-of-fit index were utilized. The results showed that the investigated model has an acceptable fit with the data. This finding provides further evidence regarding the internal validity of the Seattle Children's Personality Questionnaire. The research findings indicate that the factor structure of the investigated questionnaire has an acceptable fit for elementary school students in Delijan County and can be used as a valid tool for assessing children's personality in elementary schools in alignment with the studied population.
خلاصه ماشینی:
The research findings indicate that the factor structure of the investigated questionnaire has a desirable fit for primary school students in Delijan County and can be used as a valid tool for assessing children's personality in elementary schools in line with the studied population.
In fact, this research seeks to answer the question of whether the factor structure of the questions in the Children's Personality Questionnaire developed in America is repeated and confirmed in a sample of Persian-speaking boys and girls?
Kusche In the present research, 340 individuals (140 girls and 200 boys) from students in the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades of elementary school in Delijan County completed the Seattle Children's Personality Questionnaire.
Factor structure of the Seattle Children's Personality Questionnaire In the present study, the values obtained for the chi-square to degree of freedom ratio, root mean square error of approximation1, goodness of fit 2, adjusted fit index 3, normed fit index 4, and non-normed fit index 5 were 2.
The specific issue studied in this research is the internal validity and construct of the Seattle Children's Personality Questionnaire using confirmatory factor analysis, which the researcher has translated into Persian and standardized.
Given the wide application of the questionnaire, it is recommended that its characteristics and the quality of its factor measurement be investigated in other cities, ethnic, linguistic, and cultural groups, so that a standard, valid, and reliable tool can be achieved based on the findings of these studies in the field of assessing children's emotional-behavioral problems in the school environment.
