In this article, we aim to establish a suitable conceptual link between the modern developments of the international order, through the enhancement of social capital and sustainable peace, using the metaphor of network order. In this regard, we have utilized the emergence of a phenomenon titled 'bridging social capital' as one of the consequences of the formation of a global civil society due to the networked links among the new actors of the international system, to examine the possibility of achieving sustainable peace. The authors believe that the formation of a global civil society in the international system, which is one of the consequences of the new networked structuring of the world order, leads to a reduction in structural violence at the level of the international system by creating a type of social capital and makes the achievement of sustainable peace possible.

Ultimately, we have reached the conclusion that "longitudinal networked links among international relations actors, which are conceptualized in global civil society, can strengthen the positive aspects of peace in the international system and thereby reduce the poles of violent connections in the international community by increasing the level of trust, enhancing social cohesion, and also promoting a sense of public ownership of peace at the global level.
