چکیده:
This research is titled "Investigating the social and cultural factors affecting the level of social trust of Tehran citizens towards Islamic Azad University in 1389". The aim of this research is the validation of the scale for measuring social trust towards Islamic Azad University, which has been examined with the help of related theories. The present research addresses the analysis and explanation of the research topic by posing these questions: Does the tool for measuring the level of social trust towards Islamic Azad University possess validity and reliability? To what concepts can the social trust tool questions be reduced through factor analysis? The research method is survey-based, and the data collection tool is a questionnaire consisting of 23 items using a five-point Likert scale, which was administered to a sample. The study sample consists of 1000 students from the units of region eight of Islamic Azad University and their parents, who were selected using a multi-stage cluster sampling method and finally using a simple random method. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the studied variables, considering the items in the Likert scale at the initial stage, was obtained as 0.90, indicating that due to the high alpha coefficient, the measurement tool possesses high capability. However, in the second stage, by re-administering this 23-item scale, a validity coefficient of 0.95 was obtained. In the investigation of principal component analysis using Varimax rotation, six factors were extracted through factor analysis rotation. In other words, the social trust measurement tool consists of six factors, which are respectively: general trust scales, honesty, frankness, sharing, cooperative tendencies, and assurance.

The aim of this research is the validation of the scale for measuring social trust towards Islamic Azad University, which has been investigated with the help of related theories.
The present research addresses the analysis and explanation of the research topic by posing the following questions: Does the tool for measuring the level of social trust towards Islamic Azad University possess validity and reliability?
In other words, the social trust measurement tool consists of six factors, which are respectively: general trust scales, honesty, sincerity, sharing, cooperative tendencies, and assurance.
The initial question of the research is: Does social trust in the Islamic Azad University exist in the urban society of Tehran?
Therefore, the main question and objective of the research is to determine the validity and reliability of the tool for measuring social trust in the Islamic Azad University.
However, in the discussion of scale validity for measuring the level of trust in Islamic Azad University, the following results were obtained: a) Face validity or content validity Validity or validity is a primarily qualitative issue and its evaluation is very difficult; in fact, how the researcher moves from theoretical definition to practical definition is taken into account.
Considering the total explained variance table, it can be found how the sum of the squared extracted factor loadings 1, which is titled as the constructing factors of social trust, is before and after rotation.
Finally, it was determined that six factors were extracted from the factor analysis rotation, and in fact, social trust consists of six factors, which are respectively: general trust scales, honesty, frankness, sharing, cooperative tendencies, and assurance.
