چکیده:
The present article, based on Goffman's theory and method, investigates the sociological relationship between religious beliefs and lifestyle in the city of Kermanshah in the year 1388. This research was conducted using the theoretical and methodological framework of 'Erving Goffman' from the theorists of the interactionist school. The researcher aimed to examine the relationship between religious beliefs and individuals' lifestyles in their front stage and back stage lives. To achieve these objectives, field methods, participant observation, and informal interviews were used, and informal interviews were also conducted with key individuals in the group. The results of this research indicate that in front-stage situations, individuals display an aspect of themselves that is acceptable to others and the existing culture of society. In back-stage situations, individuals enjoy more freedom of action because they are not under the supervision of social norms and laws and do not play a role to maintain their social status, and therefore they become closer to their true selves, while in front-stage situations, individuals display more of their socialized selves. However, according to the analysis of the interviews conducted with key individuals in the group, there is a significant relationship between religious beliefs and individuals' lifestyles, both in the front stage and the back stage.
خلاصه ماشینی:
The researcher intends to clarify what differences exist between the relationship of religious beliefs and the lifestyle of individuals in the back stage and front stage, and to what extent individuals act realistically and honestly in their role performance.
In analyzing the religious beliefs of individuals in their social and professional situations, it can be said that: Individuals strive to act based on what others expect of them, meaning they influence others through their actions.
Individuals, based on their own understanding and perception of the meanings related to religious beliefs and a lifestyle appropriate to the situation, and their interpretation of the actions of others, engage in interaction and proceed to perform their roles in this situation.
What was obtained from the study and investigation of the personal and private lives of individuals as a back-stage situation through informal interviews and the posing of suggestive questions, can be analyzed as follows: In interaction with other actors in daily life, individuals attempt to present themselves based on the interpretation they make of the meanings of others' actions.
Answer: In the front-stage situation, in terms of the relationship between their religious beliefs and lifestyle, individuals showed that aspect of themselves which was the product of the interaction between them and other actors based on the interpretation of the meanings of the action.
