چکیده:
Two decades have passed since the end of the life of the famous historian and author of Al-Kamil, Ibn al-Athir, who was a contemporary of the Mongol invasion; he may have been the first reporter of the terrifying Mongol invasion in that era. His reports of the past Mongol invasion are characterized by a special authenticity, accompanied by evaluations and analyses that are filled with epic grandeur, sorrow, and dissatisfaction. On the other hand, Ibn al-Athir's writings could serve as an important and close source to the Mongol and Ilkhanid eras, as well as for the Mongol invasion, and could have been a source for Ilkhanid historians, yet Ilkhanid historians have shown a particular reluctance and indifference toward him. This writing aims, while examining Ibn al-Athir's first report of the Mongol invasion and his evaluations of it, to address the position, inclination, or lack of inclination of Ilkhanid historians towards him, and how Ilkhanid historians, despite their temporal proximity and familiarity with him, avoided Ibn al-Athir unlike other contemporary and later (non-Ilkhanid) historians. In this description, this writing intends to discuss the why and how of the relatively complex relations of Ilkhanid historians with Ibn al-Athir and its various aspects.
خلاصه ماشینی:
A) Juvayni and Ibn al-Athir Ata al-Mulk Juvayni, an early historian of the Mongol and Ilkhanid eras and the author of the history "Jahan-gusha" of Genghis, had a special influence on the course of Ilkhanid historiography and even on Rashid al-Din; generally, his work is one of the best historical writings, and also, due to the detail of the book "Jahan-gusha" regarding the previous circumstances of the Mongol people, it has a universal dimension.
Undoubtedly, Juvayni in the book Masharib al-Tajarib (Description of the Khwarazmshah Dynasty) has used the contents of Ibn al-Athir without mentioning his name; for example, the matters related to the death of Sultan Shah, the description of the circumstances, actions, and relations of Ala al-Din Tekesh in Juvayni's Jahangushay (Juvayni, 1367: 2/ 30 onwards) bears a complete resemblance to what is stated in Tarikh al-Kamil; except for cases where Juvayni, out of habit, has embellished the subject with his own rhetorical and metaphorical descriptions, the historical contents of both sources are almost identical; although minor differences also exist; for instance, Ibn al-Athir mentions the killing of Tughril Seljuk by Tekesh on 24 Rabi al-Awwal in the year 590, while Juvayni provides it on 29 Rabi al-Awwal; however, by examining Juvayni's writing carefully, this discrepancy can be resolved to some extent.
