چکیده:
War, due to its unpredictable emotions and events, is inherently a passionate and controversial phenomenon. The attractions present in expressing the spiritual dimensions and supernatural events of war have opened the doors for many writers to this field. However, the connection between the issue of war and the religious beliefs of the Iranian people has made entering this realm somewhat difficult and necessitates the use of specific narrative methods. Among literary styles, magical realism, due to the blending of fantasy and reality, can be proposed as a suitable solution for this issue. In this article, while briefly stating the characteristics of magical realism works, we aim to follow the footprint of this school in the fictional works of the Sacred Defense by analyzing and examining the two short stories 'Mah Zadeh' and 'Oud-e As Green', to clarify to what extent this method can be effective in creating works of this kind. The necessity of this issue arises from the fact that the failure to utilize various storytelling techniques can lead Sacred Defense works into the pit of repetition and prevent them from competing with parallel currents of fiction.

Prominent writers in Iran have adopted magic realism as the basis for creating their stories, and numerous researchers have engaged in the criticism and analysis of these works; however, until now, the fictional literature of the Sacred Defense has been less viewed from this perspective.
This research aims to analyze two short stories, "Moonstruck" and "Green Oud," from the viewpoint of magic realism and to answer this question: can this method of storytelling be effective and useful in creating works related to war and protect them from the danger of falling into the trap of repetition and uniformity?
