Ethics, social systems and family is not a subject related only to Buddhism 2; the history of these systems can be considered one with the history of humanity 3. In Semitic religions 4, other religions and Buddhism (which is the subject of this article), there exist various lessons and teachings that share commonalities (both in terms of ethics and appearances) with other religions. In this research, by utilizing reliable scientific sources, whose names are listed in the footnotes in the order of the article's writing and at the end in the list of references, we address the subject of women, marriage and family. In this article, the aforementioned subjects are presented in a separated manner and, in more than seventy percent of the text, in a compiled and translated form.

Buddhist monks spread these teachings rapidly, and the religion of Buddha reached its peak in India during the time of Ashoka 9, but later (almost) disappeared there and remained in Ceylon and Burma in its original, simpler, and purer form, which is called Hinayana 10 (meaning: small vehicle).
Although Buddhism, in various ways, involves householders and non-spiritual individuals in religious life and the performance of sacred rituals; however, becoming a world-renouncer and having a monastic life, which throughout the history of Buddhism and during the propagation of this religion in different cultures has been a cause of its strength and weakness, is considered the fundamental principle and condition of the Buddhist religion.
Due to the observance of the eight special laws, female followers in ancient Indian Buddhism could not pursue their monastic way of life as well as they could have (in the manner they would have if these laws did not exist).
Although ِ Buddha initially opposed women becoming nuns, what Buddhist historians emphasize regarding the role of women in Buddhism are the stories told about the lives of great women during the early period of this religion.
Perspectives that exist in different traditions regarding marriage: In countries that have the Theravada (Hinayana) religion, whenever men leave home to become Buddhist monks, they also abandon family life.
