This article examines the attitude of school staff towards conflict and its relationship with their coping styles. Additionally, the relationship between certain variables such as gender, educational level, and work experience of the staff with their attitude towards conflict was studied. The statistical population of the research included principals, assistants, and teachers of elementary and secondary schools in the city of Isfahan in the academic year 1378-1379 (13058 people). The sample size was selected as 524 people using the cluster random sampling method. The required information was collected using two separate closed-ended questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results of the research showed that individuals who have a negative attitude towards conflict tend to show more avoidance and withdrawal from conflict compared to individuals who have a positive attitude towards conflict.
خلاصه ماشینی:
For this reason, this research has been conducted to answer the question: Is there a relationship between school employees' attitudes toward conflict and their application and method of conflict resolution?
Based on the aforementioned question, three hypotheses have been proposed as follows: First hypothesis: There is a relationship between some individual characteristics of employees, such as (gender, age, work experience, and educational level) and their attitude toward conflict.
To calculate the reliability of the questionnaire, a pilot study design was used, and with a sample size of 40 people, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient for each of the indicators of traditional attitude, human relations, and interactional were obtained as 0.
Therefore, the null hypothesis cannot be rejected, and with 95 percent probability, it can be said that there is no significant difference in the attitude of school employees toward the phenomenon of conflict based on gender, age, and work experience.
