چکیده:
In this research, we examine some Persian language proverbs in which a problem and the type of approach to it are presented, within the framework of power schemas. Based on the findings, power schemas in the examined proverbs have three possibilities: the existence of a problem as an obstacle that cannot be removed from the path. In these types of proverbs, there is no solution or recommendation for solving the problem. The second possibility is that the problem can be resolved through the provision of a proposed solution. The third possibility is the existence of a problem as an obstacle that can be overcome. Statistical analyses show that the second and third possibilities have the highest and lowest frequencies, respectively, in the examined proverbs. In the second possibility, which has its own types, proverbs expressing problem-solving through a desirable and appropriate solution have the highest frequency. The frequency of power schema possibilities in the examined proverbs provides insights into Iranian ethnopsychology; in such a way that the thinking governing the behavior and character of the Iranian people in the past and present has been and is that it is recommended to remain steadfast in the face of the obstacle of problems, to search for a strategy and solution for every problem, and also to try to choose the best solution when facing and resolving a problem. Most of the examined proverbs indicate that the Iranian people have a strong and high spirit in the face of problems.

It seems that Zolfaghari (in the book Great Dictionary of Persian Proverbs) has proposed a relatively comprehensive definition of "proverb" as follows: "A proverb is a short, famous, and sometimes rhythmic sentence, containing advice, wise themes, and folk experiences consisting of simile, metaphor, or metonymy, which due to the fluency of words, clarity of meaning, simplicity, comprehensiveness, and generality, has gained fame and popularity among the people, and they use it with or without change.
5- Analysis of Proverbs In this section, we examine Persian proverbs in which a problem and the type of approach to the problem are presented, based on the force schema and its possibilities.
1- In some of the examined proverbs, the problem is an obstacle and a barrier for which there is no solution, and it cannot be resolved, removed from the path, or passed through.
Based on the statistical analyses we conducted, proverbs that express resolving the problem through a desirable and appropriate solution had the highest frequency at 50% compared to the other four types.
The examination of sixty Persian proverbs based on this type of schema indicates three possibilities that power schemas possess in proverbs.
