Love-affection is an attraction-effort between the lover-beloved, the seeker-sought; human perfectionism draws him towards the Truth, his curiosity towards knowledge, sexual need towards a spouse, hunger-thirst towards water-food-he constantly accepts the suffering of reaching the sought to satisfy a need-realize a type of growth-perfection. God says in Surah Al-Imran: {/«قل ان کنتم تحبّون اللّه فاتّبعونی یحببکم اللّه-یغفر لکم ذبوبکم-اللّه غفور رحیم»/}(4) "(O Prophet) Say, if you love Allah, then follow me, so that Allah will love you-and forgive your sins; indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful" Since the Prophet is the Mercy to the Worlds-an excellent role model for mankind and the messenger of God, it follows that obeying him is a step towards gaining His pleasure-love. Sometimes you overlook them-you pass by them easily; this is the act of a human in whom stinginess is present-prevailing(5), let alone the Compassionate Nurturer who has made mercy obligatory upon His pure existence(6) So, by obeying the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), enter into the circle of divine love-mercy so that the warmth of His affection may dispel the coldness of sin-wrongdoing from your being-and find peace in His compassionate lap. Regarding the chapter of love-friendship, in the verses of the Quran, we have two groups of Ayah codes: a number of {/«انّ اللّه یحب... Now let us see whom God does not love: {/«انّ اللّه لا یحبّ الکافرین»/}(23) Those who became disbelievers in their God. God says in the blessed Surah (29): {/«انّ الذّین امنوا و عملو الصّالحات سیجعل لهم الرّحمن ودّا»/} Soon, the Most Merciful will place affection in the hearts of the righteous believers.
