چکیده:
The present study was a survey on the structure factor criteria test for logic proctor and Gamble reasoning test. The test was conducted by proctor and Gamble (2008). 350 students from Payam-Noor university of Hamedan were selected by simple sampling method and questionnaires were distributed among them. However, after collecting the questionnaires, due to losses and unanswered cases, 300 questionnaires were finally left to be analyzed. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test results for the hypothesis of normality of the data was (p =0.198, z=17.75) for the reasoning test,(p=0.139, z=1.555) for numerical reasoning components, reasoning, all of which proved to be normal. Also, the value of KMO test was equal to 0.72 and Bartlett Test, 1883761 which was significant at p < 0.01 and Cronbach’s alpha was 0.72 for the entire questionnaire; and, for components of numerical reasoning, logical reasoning, and visual reasoning were 0.80, 0.69, and 0.78 respectively. Thus the results indicated the high reliability of the test.

To determine the validity of the test, content validity and construct validity, factor analysis were used, and for reliability, the internal consistency method and Cronbach's alpha coefficient index were employed.
Iorio3 and colleagues (1984), in examining a philosophy program for children among third to sixth-grade elementary students, using the New Jersey reasoning skills test and a descriptive checklist of children, achieved positive and significant effects in the field of children's reasoning.
This research showed that an appropriate educational program can have effective results not only on reasoning but also on children's critical thinking.
Moriyon 5 and colleagues (2000) conducted an experimental study in the field of evaluating a philosophy education program for children in three schools in Madrid that were socio-economically middle-class, using the New Jersey reasoning skills test.
Hymer 6 (2002), by studying gifted students, showed the positive effects of a philosophy education program for children on critical thinking, conceptual reasoning, and the philosophical research of students 1 Fisher 2 Cummings 3 Iorio 4 Lipman & Bierman 5 Moriyon 6 Hymer showed.
In this research, we will examine the factor structure of the Proctor and Gamble (2008) reasoning test scale, with culture-specific variations, on students of Payame Noor University in Hamadan city, following the objectives below.
Instrument This test has been designed by Proctor and Gamble (2008) as a standardized tool for measuring numerical, logical, and visual reasoning.
Conclusion The aim of this research was to investigate the validity and reliability of the Proctor and Gamble (2008) reasoning scale among students of Payame Noor University in Hamedan city.
