چکیده:
In the concept of career growth, there are important guidelines for job choice and employment, which is one of the most important factors affecting identity growth. The aim of this research was to predict career growth based on identity styles (Berzonsky's model) in students of higher education centers in Bojnord. The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population consisted of all students of higher education centers in Bojnord in the academic year 2011-2012. The research sample included 500 students (217 women and 283 men) who were selected through multi-stage cluster sampling. The research tools included an identity style questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha coefficients between 0.65 and 0.68 and a short form of the career growth questionnaire with a test-retest coefficient of 0.75 for the first part and 0.81 for the second part. For the statistical analysis of the research data, in addition to descriptive statistics methods, Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, Pearson correlation test, and multiple regression analysis tests were used. The findings showed that there is a significant positive statistical relationship between the informative identity style and career growth, and a significant negative relationship between the confused identity style and career growth. Multiple regression analysis results showed that the informative identity style is considered a significant positive predictor for career growth. In explaining the results of the present research, similar characteristics of the informative identity style and the job selection process can be mentioned.
