The research method was correlational, where maternal employment is the criterion variable and social development is the predictor variable. After collecting the information, descriptive statistics such as mean and mode, and inferential statistics, namely Spearman's correlation coefficient, were examined using SPSS11 software. The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between mothers' work shifts and hours spent with their children and the social development of the children.

Women's employment, the necessities and motivations, and the effects it has on the family environment, especially children, as well as the impact of maternal employment in the early years of a child's life on social development, have come under the attention of social and educational experts in recent decades, alongside the more organized presence of women in jobs outside the home.
Table No. 2 shows that there is a significant relationship between mothers' work shifts and the social development of their children in the 3-4 age group.
Table No. 2- Examining the relationship between mothers' work shifts and the social development of children Age Group Correlation (Spearman) Significance Frequency Social Development 2-3 -0.
261 (age group 4-5), the H0 hypothesis for the age groups 2-3 years and 4-5 years cannot be rejected, which means that the variables of the respondents' work shifts and the social development of their children are independent of each other and have no relationship, because the significance level for both groups is greater than 0.
In the early stages, the child needs to explore the environment and take initiative, which requires the physical and psychological support of their mother; this hypothesis was also confirmed, and as it seemed, this relationship between the two variables existed, and the mother's work shift is not independent of the children's social development.
