Meaning-centered education is also one of the spiritual approaches that is based on Frankl's logotherapy theory (Lantz F2002, 2011) and existential family therapy.
Additionally, considering the opinion of Duck and Wood F416 (2006) that changes in relationships and communication patterns affect women more than men, and that women bear the major responsibility for the success of relationships, the present research sought to investigate whether meaning-centered education is effective in improving the family functioning of married women?
The adjusted mean scores show that the overall family functioning of the experimental group increased compared to the control group after the implementation of the independent variable.
Conclusion The present research was conducted to determine the effect of meaning-centered training on improving the overall family functioning of married women.
Therefore, meaning-centered training was significantly effective on the overall family functioning of the clients and reduced its level.
Furthermore, this finding is consistent with the findings of Gider F118 (2006), Perron, Web, Wright and Jackson F219 (2006), Cotton and Zebrakki (2007), Jalali (1386), Foly F302 (1992, as cited in Mousavizadeh, 1388), Gholami and Bashlideh (1390), Hamid, Bashlideh, Abdi Baigi and Dehqani Zadeh (1390), and Shafie Abadi, Navabi Nejad, Falsavi Nejad and Najfelouei (1390).
