چکیده:
"Morphology of the Folktale" by Vladimir Propp (Vladimir Propp), a Russian linguist, is a work from the modern era that has attracted the attention of scholars since its emergence. Although the position of this book has fluctuated in the shadow of formalism and structuralism, it was finally introduced as a work whose function is to move from formalism to structuralism. After examining a class of folk tales, under the title of fairy tales, Propp proposed this theory that tales have consistent forms, with recurring characters, and follow a fundamental primary plot. In this article, by emphasizing this approach, an attempt is made to set aside the atomistic view of literature and look at the structural aspects of epic poems with an inclusive and yet novel perspective, showing how the characteristics proposed by Propp are remarkably traceable, especially in the opening scenes of these poems and the introductory parts of the stories.
