Attar's main thought in the Ilahi-Nama is reflected in a narrative framework in which the soul, as a father along with his stages, in the form of six sons, traverses the seven cities of love through twenty-two articles and one hundred and eighty-two tales, undergoing the stages of evolution. This research attempts to mention Attar's intended patterns in the structured method of the work in precise connection between word and meaning, by obtaining evidence from the text; rules that, in four general levels, as a coherent verbal-semantic network, define the internal logic of the work. With a scholarly look, it can be perceived that Attar adheres to these patterns throughout the work; as if this method for expressing his main thought in the Ilahi-Nama is drawn as a line or thread throughout the work, linking the important positions of the story together.
