A teacher or educator, based on their responsibilities and mission, needs on one hand to benefit from knowledge and information surrounding their subject matter, and on the other hand, needs to acquire various skills so they can properly fulfill their role in educational processes and functions and not fall behind in the caravan of learning and practice in the era of expanding knowledge and information explosion. This article divides the skills related to the responsibility of teaching into four main categories, which include teaching, research, behavioral, and managerial skills, and briefly presents two of the teaching skills, which include creative thinking skills and questioning skills.

Skill is not easily acquired; knowing, acting, and implementing knowledge in different conditions for learners and multiple audiences can lead to teaching and mentoring skills, and this is provided that the teacher acts with their whole being and through continuous self-assessment, recognizes their own mistakes and deficiencies in teaching methods, classroom management, the use of educational and auxiliary tools, course content, and other activities, and increases their abilities day by day, moving from the stage of skill acquisition to the stage of skill application.
But in reality, teaching is a combination of scientific learning and artistic practice, which a teacher or mentor must present to learners in an artistic and skillful manner, under the shadow of their experiences and talents, in an appropriate way so as to have the necessary impact on them.
After acquiring knowledge and information regarding the subject matter, a teacher or mentor can act towards the skill of solving educational problems within the scope of their ability and authority by presenting, thinking well, understanding correctly, and changing their set of functions and the like.
A teacher or mentor faces many educational and training issues and processes; they must either follow only one pre-determined rule or, based on creative and critical thinking, adopt other ways for better problem-solving.
