چکیده:
The Wahhabi movement emerged in the 12th century AH by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab; although its foundations were laid by Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah in the 8th century. Initially, after presenting his views, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab faced serious opposition from scholars and the people, to the extent that the first refutations against him were written by Sunnis themselves; however, after uniting with Muhammad ibn Saud and gaining control over Saudi Arabia and Hejaz, it expanded and gained power day by day until today, where through various means and by utilizing material and spiritual facilities including education, research, technology, oil, etc., as well as colonial support, it actually plays the role of a lever to oppose pure Muhammadi Islam (and the Islamic Revolution of Iran). Given the importance and growth of Islamism in today's world on one hand, and the expansion of Wahhabism's dominance and its actions against Muslims and the influence of its activities in attracting individuals, not only in Saudi Arabia but also globally on the other hand, the necessity for correct and efficient action to counter this sect becomes clear, so as to prevent the wave of Islamism from leaning towards Wahhabism and guide it toward the main path. The prerequisite for effective action in this field is recognizing Wahhabism's missionary methods, so that with conscious knowledge, we can choose appropriate and suitable countermeasures and witness the impact of our activities in opposing this sect.
