On the eve of the elections for the ninth term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, considering the internal and global conditions of the fourth decade of the Islamic system and the ups and downs of political events in recent years, the necessity of recognizing and becoming familiar with the valuable treasure of the criteria of the thoughts of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader regarding the election of assembly representatives is more deeply felt, so that the vigilant, insightful, and follower-of-Wilayah nation emerges proudly from the great test of determining the representatives of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. In this article, the position of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the role of people's presence, enemy movements, and the conditions and characteristics of the most suitable representative are briefly reviewed from the perspective of Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader. Imam Khomeini (may his secret be sanctified) says regarding attention to specializations in the criteria for choosing the most qualified: The Assembly needs political figures, it needs economists, it needs politicians, it needs people informed about world affairs; there must be commitment to Islam and agreement with the Islamic Republic, but these matters should also be present.
